Edenauts - An Odyssey of Wisdom
Edenauts is a game that guides players through an exciting space survival story while engaging with learning techniques and profound philosophical themes. Inspired by Piaget's educational theories, the game aims to promote critical thinking, collaboration, and the development of shared values.

Story:
The game begins with the player encountering a meteor shower threatening Earth. The players plan to escape into space with a rocket equipped with a novel AI brain (technology as a savior).
However, the rocket is hit by a meteor, and the AI brain is damaged (technology fails).
The crew must make an emergency landing on the moon and manually recalibrate the brain through an interface to make it operational again (a story and learning processes inspired by Piaget).
Educational Goal:
Piaget's development theory, further developed by Robert Kegan, focuses on evolving people from the "Socialized Mind" stage to the "Self-Authoring Mind" stage. The educational goal is not about obtaining degrees but reaching Stage 4, particularly for identity formation.

Self-authoring Mind is based on simple activities that everyone is familiar with. Someone at this stage "constructs" their world/identity by repeating and reflecting on activities such as diary writing, note-taking, creating mind maps, etc. Over time with experience, the brain begins to recognize and construct more detailed patterns, and one becomes "their own teacher."
Why?
Our educational system imprints our minds to think learning takes place in school. This is not something we get "told". This "through-action" vaccinated dogma is, what we want to fight against. Because learning happens Daily and everywhere if you know how.
With a gamified approach, we help young adults habitualize natural learning which means for us to learn intuitively and game-like with day-2-day experiences and challenges.
Edenauts underlines this path with its narrative story to explore the theory of knowledge and the works of perception.
